Essential Functions:

  1. Provide hands-on assistance and/or coverage for used goods processing, as assigned daily.  Job duties will include but not be limited to the following:  
    1. Supervise of employees/clients in the processing of donations and use of equipment; 
    2. Coordination of personnel to meet daily requirements; 
    3. Maintenance of daily production records; 
    4. Train all new employees in the production area; 
    5. Determine if donated items are of appropriate quality and value for store sales;
    6. Maintain a clean and orderly store appearance; 
    7. Stock and pull merchandise; 
    8. Assist contributions and issue receipts as necessary;
    9. Load and operate trash compactor (if applicable) as needed;
    10. Sort donation into designated categories (textiles, wares, etc.);
    11. Price/stock/rotate merchandise as needed; 
    12. Hang and stem sorted textiles;
    13. Organize materials and workspace to maintain safe and efficient workflow; 
    14. Operation of cash register, if needed; 
    15. Maintenance of proper housekeeping and safety standards; 
    16. Janitorial duties inside and outside; and
    17. Light lawn care and maintenance of grounds.


  1. Must be mobile and physically capable of performing assigned responsibilities. (Lifting up to 40 lbs., standing, walking, climbing, bending).
  2. Must be able to tolerating standing for long periods of time. 
  3. Must be prompt and present daily, as scheduled.  
  4. Must have flexible schedule and be available for morning, evening and weekend scheduling.
  5. Must be able to work in any Evansville Goodwill locations.  


Other Duties:       

  1. Performance of other duties on behalf of the agency as assigned.
  2. Assist other Leads, Assistant Managers, Managers and employees, as needed.

  3. Courteous and tactful written and oral communication skills. 
  4. Ability to work without close supervision.
  5. Must pass background check and all drug and alcohol screens.
  6. Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

  8. Ability to supervise and motivate personnel and clients. 
  9. Loyalty to the agency and its policies.
