Sign Up For A GoodSkills Academy Class To Learn Everything From The Internet to Microsoft Word!
The GoodSkills Academy is another part of our mission to help individuals with barriers to employment gain the skills they need to succeed. The program offers FREE computer classes to anyone in the community with a curriculum starting with Essential Computer Skills and covers topics such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and even hosts a Resume Workshop.
Teaching Digital Skills In A World Dominated By Technology
By the end of August, Jill had earned her first certificate in Essential Computer Skills through the GoodSkills Academy. Jill had this to say about her experience "In just a short amount of time, I had the confidence to use terminology I hadn't known before" and she stated she felt "empowered and relieved". She said she was so grateful to have found somewhere that took into consideration her level of understanding at her first class. Jill plans to attend even more classes and "can't wait to accumulate more certificates". To those registering for the Turkey Day 5k, Jill says "this is a resource anyone in the community can utilize" and that the proceeds from this event are going to an "ingenious" opportunity for Vanderburgh County.
